E-MAIL POLICY
Class
E-Mail Directories will continue to post the names, but not the email
addresses, of all Excelsior alumni who wish to be grouped with their
classes. The disclosure of our email addresses was useful for the
period when it was initiated more than a decade ago. For several years,
alumni from around the world could connect with their classmates and
learn of reunions through the advent of the Internet. Now, with
the development of social media, for example facebook, users can share
information, reminisce, and otherwise relate what is going on with
their lives without revealing their email addresses to the whole world.
Class reunion leaders and researchers will be able to access the
archived information, but the email addresses will not be
updated. The email listings will be deleted from this web site at
the end of June, 2011.
Excelsior now has a presence on facebook. Many pilots
enjoy the
informal, chatty style of this site, which permits the easy exchange of
pictures. Donna Welch oversees this special section, which is
expressly for our own Excelsior Union High School. Membership is
free, just establish a password and log in. Alumni who have identified
themselves to me as friends on facebook will have the logo pasted next
to their names. It's more fun
when
everyone submits their picture.
